EFP grants Film Sales Support for six European films at Sundance 2019
With backing from Creative Europe's MEDIA sub-programme, Film Sales Support (FSS) assists with the promotion of European films at festivals and markets outside of Europe, including the current edition of Utah's Sundance Film Festival (24 January - 3 February 2019).
Programme organisers European Film Promotion (EFP) have awarded six films an additional marketing boost to elevate sales at North America's flagship indie festival. The films selected include:
- Untouchable (UK)
- Dolce Fine Giornata (Poland)
- Koko-di Koka-da (Denmark/Sweden)
- Queen of Hearts (Denmark)
- Stieg Larsson - The Man Who Played with Fire (Sweden)
- The Disappearance of My Mother (Italy/USA)
UK production Untouchable had its World Premiere in the Documentary Premieres strand and details the inside story of the meteoric rise and monstrous fall of movie titan Harvey Weinstein.
The Disappearance of My Mother, also a documentary, is an alumni of the Creative Europe-supported training programme dok.incubator. Italian filmmaker Beniamino Barrese tells a tender story about his mother; feminist fashion model Benedetta Barzini.
